Public Participation Plan
After conducting research that included interviews with members of the Oakley community, DuPont developed a Public Participation Plan that has been in effect since March 2001. The plan was later updated (in June 2003) based on more recent guidance from the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC, or the Department). The plan gives a brief background for the reader to understand the local community and history of the Oakley site, as well as identifying the ways in which DuPont shares information with the Oakley community.

Publications
Regulatory agency fact sheets, Oakley site newsletters, and articles from local publications regarding the Oakley Site’s history, investigation and remedy activities, and redevelopment are available through this website by visiting the Publications page. In addition, DuPont maintains a public repository in a designated section of the Oakley Public Library located at 1050 Neroly Road, Oakley, California. This repository contains copies of final reports describing the results of groundwater and surface water monitoring, as well as various investigations completed to date. How You Can Stay Involved
DuPont welcomes interaction with its neighbors and other site stakeholders. You may contact members of the Community Advisory Panel via email. Bob Deaver, DuPont’s representative at the Oakley Site, is also available via email or you may call him at (925) 757-5836. Printing out the various publications available from our Publications page or visiting the Oakley Public Library will put all the activities at the Oakley Site at your fingertips. Look for announcements of public meetings in the Contra Costa Times and be sure you are included on the mailing list for upcoming fact sheets and newsletters, which are usually published shortly before a public meeting and/or public comment period.
